Frequently Asked Questions

Our aim is to make travel easy — these FAQs should clear up the little things before you set off.

Do you supply child seats?

Due to the wide range and customer preferences with child seats we don’t supply these. However if you have your own we are able to store these during your holiday for the return trip if needed.

Where do you drop us off and pick us up at the airport?

For most airports the drop off is outside the terminal building. For pick-ups on return, we will contact you after landing and meet you in arrivals. Please ensure your mobile phone is switched on and flight mode is disabled.

Are there any additional costs above the price quoted?

All prices quoted include all additional tolls, airport charges, congestion charges and similar. The only cost not included is any optional gratuity you may wish to give your driver but this is totally at your discretion.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

Full details are contained in terms and conditions which outline any additional costs payable in certain circumstances. We normally allow 80 minutes from landing to leaving the airport before any additional charges apply. Any additional charges are to cover additional driver time and carpark charges. Normally the expected time for passengers to pass through customs etc is under 1 hour. If a plane experiences significant delay, we will do our utmost to service the revised timetable. Where this cannot be done, we will assist you to make other arrangements.

How will you know if my flight is delayed?

We always track flights using Flightradar 24 so we will know should there be a delay and see when you have landed.

I have found a cheaper quote on the internet. Will you price match?

Whilst we do not ‘Price Match’, we regularly check pricing in line with local competitors to ensure we offer a high quality, reliable service at a competitive price. When seeking other quotes be aware there are many scams on the internet offering low prices but have a high incidence of cancelling last minute or not showing. Use known local companies to compare.

Do you sub out work to self-employed drivers?

Many taxi companies act as an agency with work passed to individual drivers on a self-employed commission basis under the company name. At IC Premier Travel we employ all our drivers directly who have many years of experience and live locally driving our own vehicles. In some cases due to business needs we may engage colleagues at another local company of high repute to assist at peak times and they operate under our name in such cases.

Can wheelchairs and similar mobility aids be carried on the vehicle?

We are able to carry such devices as luggage but not take passengers remaining in wheelchairs or similar. Other companies may offer this service. Depending on the overall amount of luggage taken we may suggest a larger vehicle to accommodate higher volumes with an appropriate cost adjustment.

Can pets be carried?

We are legally required and welcome carrying assistance dogs and will accommodate other requests as much as we can.

Do you undertake local trips?

As we specialise in longer distance travel and not numerous short journeys, we have a minimum charge of £70 for a pre-booked trip to enable the car and driver to be reserved for that day. Sometimes we are able to help with a shorter journey at short notice if we have capacity and this would be charged at a similar rate to other taxi companies. Generally, for pre-booked short trips we recommend other local companies such as Enterprise.
